Global warming is a reality we can no longer ignore. The major cause of global warming is the increased emission of greenhouse gasses such as carbon dioxide.

Climate change brings with it harsh and destructive consequences. Droughts, floods, cyclones, bushfires and other natural disasters are all increasing in their severity and frequency. Far too often the impact of these disasters falls most on the poor and the needy, those least able to bear their burdens.

The fundamental question we must thus ask ourselves is: “Will the planet we leave to our children, and our children's children, be better than the one we enjoy today?”

At Help the Planet we believe the answer can be yes. But it will take action. And we must act now.
